Abstract:

Zinc chloride silica gel-supported was found to be an efficient, inexpensive catalyst for the synthesis of 1,8-dioxodecahydroacridines via one-pot three-component condensation of aryl aldehydes, dimedone, andammonium acetate in high yields. The described novel synthetic method propose several advantages of safety, mild condition, short reaction times, high yields, simplicityand easy workup compared to the traditional method of synthesis.

A Novel, Heterogeneous Catalyst for the One-Pot Synthesis of 1,8-Dioxodecahydroacridine Derivatives Under Solvent-Free Conditions

An efficient and environmental-friendly synthetic route to 1,8-dioxodecahydroacridines derivatives have been developed via multi-component one-pot Hantzsch reaction of various aldehydes and ammonium acetate with 2 equivalents dimedone in the presence of Phosphorus pentoxide supported on aluminaas catalyst under solvent-free conditions. The present approach offersseveral advantages such as short...

One-pot synthesis of 2-oxo-1,2,3,4-tetrahydropyrimidines using homogeneous catalyst under solvent-free conditions

The chemistry of 2-oxo-1,2,3,4-tetrahydropyrimidines began to develop toward the end of 1893 year, when the first representatives of this class compounds were reported by P. Biginelli. Despite prior reports of several really effective catalytic and non-catalytic approaches towards Biginelli-type products, an overwhelming number of new catalysts for the Biginelli reaction have been recently publ...

" A novel and efficient synthesis of bisindolyl methanes with using silica-supported 3-(triethoxysilyl) propane-1-ammonium chloride as reusable catalyst under solvent free conditions

A facile and efficient synthesis of bis(indolyl)methanes derivatives (3a-u) was reported via a condensation reaction of aldehydes and indole in the presence of by silica-supported-3-(triethoxysilyl) propane-1-ammonium chloride catalysis under solvent free conditions. We studied the reaction in different conditions and optimized. The use of just 0.02 g of (silica gel-ammonium salt) is sufficient...

Highly efficient one-pot four-component synthesis of polyhydroquinoline derivatives catalyzed by stannous chloride under solvent-free conditions

A rapid and efficient one-pot, four-component protocol towards the synthesis of polyhydroquinoline derivatives has been developed. The condensation of aldehyde, dimedone, ethyl acetoacetate and ammonium acetate in presence of stannous chloride was carried out under solvent free condition to synthesize a variety of polyhydroquinoline derivatives in good to excellent yields. Stannous chloride was...
